State of Suicide Prevention in Missouri: Expert Reflections

Mental health experts and advocates Liz Sale, of the Missouri Institute for Mental Health, Bart Andrews, of Behavioral Health Response, and Lauren Moyer, of Compass Health Network, share initial insights about what is working in Missouri to prevent suicide and the barriers advocates face. They address issues such as harmful stereotypes, working across cultural and political divides, and pursuing change via state-wide networks and innovative programs.

This panel was facilitated by Jeff Bailey, of Openfields, with cohort members from the Missouri Firearm Suicide Prevention Learning Cohort convened by the Missouri Foundation for Health.
